Nicholas Ruscica is originally from Toronto, Canada where he trained as a company member at Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre (2012-2016), performing works by José Limón, Colin Connor, Kevin Wynn, Alexander Whitley, and Belinda McGuire. Nicholas is a four year recipient of the President's Merit Scholarship from the California Institute of the Arts where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2020. Nicholas has had the pleasure of participating in festivals such as Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur (Quebec), Common Wealth Youth Dance Festival (Scotland), and the José Limón International Dance Festival (New York). Since graduation, Ruscica has worked with Limón as a guest artist, performing “There Is a Time” at the Kaatsbaan Cultural Park residency, as well as teaching Limón technique at Etobicoke School of the Arts and Cawthra Park Secondary School (Toronto), and at Perpich Arts Highschool (Minnesota). Nicholas is thrilled to be joining the Company this year.
