About LimónNext

Learn to connect breath and weight to your dancing to become a more dimensional and dynamic dancer. 


This 3-day intensive is perfect for all genres of movers that want to pursue tips for college audition prep and / or dancers looking to move with an elevated sense of flight and urgency.


Dancers will receive one on one artistic development with world renowned members of the Limón Dance Company and artistic director who will guide you through a curated collection of generation-defining repertory.  


This is an opportunity to investigate how your body responds to gravity and how the Limón principles can widen the possibilities for your dancing.

LimónNext will occur at the Joffrey Ballet School Manhattan: 434 6th Ave, New York, NY, 10011. The studios are accessible via the B, D, M, F trains at W 4th St-Washington Square Park Station.

Limón does not provide housing for this intensive but will share housing recommendations with participants upon request.

7:20pm - 8:00pm - Limón Repertory

8:10pm - 9:00pm - Limón Principles, Contemporary Repertory, or Improvisation / Artistic Voice

12:10pm - 1:00pm - Limón Principles, Contemporary Repertory, or Improvisation / Artistic Voice


LimónNext will not include a performance aspect and the schedule is subject to change. Parents are not invited into our studios during class so that dancers have optimal focus and growth.

Tuition | Scholarship

$275 + $25 non-refundable Registration Fee


Tuition is due in full at the time of registration via debit or credit card. Registration is non-refundable. A tuition refund (not the registration fee) will only be considered by written cancellation before June 15, 2024.


Limited merit- and need-based tuition scholarships are available for eligible dancers, but cannot be used with additional discounts. Scholarship announcements will be made within 2 weeks of submission and will be awarded until all funds have been distributed.


Please consider forgoing the request for scholarship if you: are a dependent of means, own the home you live in, have investments, retirement accounts or inherited money, are able to travel recreationally, have access to family money and resources in times of need, and / or have race or class privilege.


Scholarships generally range from $50 - $100. Scholarship application is part of the registration process and includes submitting a 90-second or less link to your dancing in a technique class or performance, as well as a 100 word or less description of your need for scholarship.


Limón believes deeply in community and makes every effort to allow access to all dancers to their intensives.

Requirements | Who Is LimónNext For?

There is not an audition to attend this intensive.


Dancers can register for the full week intensive, or drop into Technique. (Sorry, we are not offering drop-in classes for Repertory.)


There will not be a virtual component to this intensive - all classes will be held in person. 


This intensive will be geared for the intermediate dancer aged 13 - 17. Previous experience with the Limón technique or other modern & contemporary dance styles is not required. All dancers with at least 2 years of technical studio training are encouraged to register.


All Limón Summer dance participants will be required to follow safety protocols that are in effect at the time of the Intensive. At this time, vaccination for COVID-19 is not required, but masking / testing for COVID-19 is required.

LimónNext is recommended for emerging and seasoned:
- competitive dancers

- dancers looking for college audition preparation

- dancers wishing to elevate their artistry and deepen their skills for richer, full-body dancing that is typically only available to professional dancers.
