Geared to develop the dancer's artistic voice, the Limón NYC Summer Dance Intensive will offer a rigorous program in technique, classic & contemporary repertory, and a unique opportunity to train with Limón's Artistic Director, Dante Puleio and the Company dancers.


The Dancer's Intensive offers a full day of dance and concludes with an informal sharing.

Open to intermediate and advanced dancers aged 15 and up.
This intensive is in-person.  All participants will be required to submit proof of vaccination upon registering. Scholarship opportunities are available.

Tuition & Scholarship

$600 + $50 Registration Fee Registration is non-refundable. A tuition refund will only be considered by written cancellation before May 15, 2022. Scholarship:

Limited merit- and need-based tuition scholarships are available for eligible dancers, but cannot be used with additional discounts. Scholarship announcements will be made within 2 weeks of submission and will be awarded until all funds have been distributed.

Priority will be made for applicants who are: supporting children or have other dependents, have significant debt, have medical expenses not covered by insurance, receive public assistance, have immigration-related expenses and / or are an unpaid community organizer.

Please consider forgoing the request for scholarship if you: are a dependent of means, own the home you live in, have investments, retirement accounts or inherited money, are able to travel recreationally, have access to family money and resources in times of need, and / or have race or class privilege. Scholarships generally range from $100 - $200. Scholarship application is part of the registration process and includes submitting a 90-second or less link to your dancing in a class or performance, as well as a 100 word or less description of your need for scholarship. Limón believes deeply in community and makes every effort to allow access to all dancers to their intensives.


The Limón NYC Summer Intensive will occur at the Everett Center for the Performing Arts: 466 West 152nd Street, New York, NY 10031. The studios are accessible via the A, C, B, D and 1 Trains at the 145th Street stop. Limón does not provide housing for this intensive.

Part-Time & Drop-ins

Dancers can register for the full week intensive, or drop into Technique. All participants will be required to show proof of full vaccination to attend either drop-in classes or the full intensive.
There will not be a virtual component to this intensive.

Entry Requirements

There is not an audition to attend this intensive however due to the Key to NYC Mandate, all participants will be required to share proof of full vaccination upon registration. This intensive will be geared for the intermediate / advanced dancer. Dancers must be 15 or above. Consideration for dancers younger than 15 will only be made on a case by case basis, prioritizing dancers who have had 4+ years of rigorous technique, and preferably previous experience with the Limón technique or other modern & contemporary dance styles. Limón NYC and its in-person participants will be strictly adhering to the COVID 19 protocols provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and required by City and State of New York at the time of the intensive.
