Ty Morrison (he/him)
Ty is from the greater Boston area where he dedicated 13 years of his life to versatile dance training at The Gold School under the direction of Rennie Gold. Ty received his BFA In Contemporary Dance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee on full scholarship. During his time at the Conservatory, he performed works by such acclaimed choreographers as Darrell Moultrie, Catherine Coury, Bradley Shelver, Adrianne Hawkins, and Martha Nichols. Immediately after graduation, he was featured in various on-site dance film productions with choreographers Roderick George, Ashley Lindsay, Antonio Brown, and Levi Marsman. At the beginning of his professional career, Ty has had the honor of being a guest artist with the Limón Dance Company and a collaborative artist with Little House Dance Company. From there, he joined BODYTRAFFIC as a full time company artist internationally performing works by choreographers like Micaela Taylor, Alejandro Cerrudo, Fernando Hernando Magadan, Juel D. Lane, Barak Marshall, Mathew Neenan, Trey McIntyre & more. Throughout his career Ty has been blessed to be able to continuously freelance and build relationships in all disciplines. You can find him in all rooms ranging from hip hop music videos, Museum installations, and even live immersive performances with Grammy Nominated Artist Palaver Strings Orchestra. Ty takes pride in his efforts made towards educational outreach and awareness of this art form to all ages in every community. He’s a firm believer in the therapeutic power this art form possesses and desires to encourage access to all demographics including those less fortunate.
