Mariah began her dance training in southeastern Connecticut under the direction of Gloria Govrin, where she was first introduced to Limón technique by Libby Nye at the age of 11. She went on to receive her BFA through the Alvin Ailey/Fordham University Program and continued her training during summers with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Paul Taylor Dance Company, and BalletX.

 

In January 2019, Mariah joined the Limón Dance Company as an apprentice, performing and touring nationally before being promoted to the main company that summer. During her time with Limón, she has performed works by acclaimed choreographers including Aszure Barton, Diego Vega Solorza, Kayla Farrish, Raúl Tamez, and Kate Weare. Her performance career has taken her across the globe to Vail International Dance Festival, Jacob’s Pillow, American Dance Festival, New York City Center, Teatro del Lago in Chile, and Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City.

 

In May 2026, Mariah performed with Aszure Barton & Artists (AB&A) as part of 92NY Harkness Dance Center’s 2025/26 Mainstage Series, Women Move the World, celebrating Barton’s choreographic vision.

 

Mariah currently serves as a teaching artist for the Limón Institute and is one of the inaugural members of the Limón Foundation’s Leadership Lab. Since 2020, she has served as the Foundation’s Social Media Associate. Beyond Limón, she is a longtime collaborator with Peter Stathas Dance and continues to cultivate her love of photography, capturing movement, artists, and the world around her both professionally and personally.
