Arnel Wilson(he/they)

Arnel Wilson (he/they), born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, started his journey at 8 years old in the Ailey Athletic Boys Dance Program at the Ailey School under Tracy Inman and Tiffany Barnes. Since then, Arnel has trained under a wide spread of teachers and organizations including MOVE|NYC| co-founded by Nigel Campbell and Chanel DaSilva, French Academie of Ballet directed by Francois Perron, and recently graduated from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance in 2024 currently directed by Darrah Carr. While at Purchase Arnel has performed in works by Bill T. Jones, Andrea Miller (GALLIM), Jie-Hung Connie Shiau, and Doug Varone (DOVA), among others. Arnel was also awarded the Adopt - A - Dancer Scholarship and concentrated in composition and choreography while at school. Throughout the years Arnel has also been a part of many workshops as well; including B12 Summer Festival, A.I.M Summer Intensive, Movement Invention Project, and Springboard Danse 2025. Recently, Arnel has been freelancing, working under Maria Bauman’s dance company MBDANCE as rehearsal assistant, and has been finding enjoyment in developing his choreographic voice. He is super excited to be starting his first season with the Limón Company!
